The Brief
Cracks and spalling concrete were evident throughout the building, SWCR were contracted to carry out an investigative survey and advise on remedial works. A full list of dilapidations was compiled along with suggested products and methods for the remedial works.
The Solution
Following that survey SWCR were contracted to carry out the concrete repairs to the soffit, beams, columns and joists of the basement/underground car park.
The works included high pressure power wash, cleaning and treatment of the steel reinforcement, concrete repairs and application of a Specialist levelling coating.
Externally the works entailed crack repairs, concrete repairs, the cutting out and forming of a new expansion/contraction joints and the retro fitting of wall ties to tie the inner and outer leaf of the building together.
