South West Concrete Repairs was established in January 1995 by Kevin Buckley to provide specialist services to the Construction Industry and Public authorities in the Plymouth area and surrounding Counties. The business was transferred to a limited company in 1997.

Due to demand the areas of operation were soon extended and we now cover the whole of the South of England including Wales and up to the Midlands. Over the years we have developed skills in all aspects of concrete repair are now able to offer a variety of services.

Correct diagnosis

Correct diagnosis of the causes of deterioration and failure are essential in determining the best and most effective method of repair and future protection. SWCR are full members of the CRA Concrete Repair Association and the Structural Concrete Alliance. We have formed relationships with several structural engineers and fully equipped testing laboratories so now we can provide a complete bespoke service to meet our clients’ requirements.

The company prides itself on its workmanship and quality. As qualified and experienced concrete repair specialists, operatives are personally selected for their own experience and qualifications, further enhanced by our own training plan. As well as training in product and application techniques we have specific site training such as: CSCS; Work in Radiologically Controlled Areas and Health & Safety training (Confined Space, Abrasive Wheels etc). SWCR have been Investors in People since 2008.

The company

The company endeavours to monitor all technological and product advancements, as well as keeping abreast of changing legislation and Health, Safety and Welfare Laws, and the ever changing requirement of our clients and main contractors. To this end the company has established systems for Health & Safety, and CDM Contract Management., and achieved accreditation for CHAS (Contractors Health and Safety Scheme). We are also a member of the SSG Premium ‘ADVISOR’ Health & Safety Scheme. The company has carried out a great variety of contracts ranging from minor works with a value of under £1,000 to major schemes with values of over £300,000. We have an impressive client list which includes Local Authorities, Schools, Colleges and Universities, Public Utilities, Water Authorities, the MOD, and most of the major contractors such as Interserve, Midas, Kier, Mc Alpine, Carillion, Skanska, Balvac etc
