INTRODUCTION
The project included the internal and external refurbishment of the student union area of the campus. Externally
new timber raised planters and seating areas along with the resurfacing of the existing concrete roadways and
paths were required.
South West Concrete Repairs Ltd were sub-contracted to carry out the preparation of the concrete roads and
paths including planning, scabbling and patch concrete repairs, renewal of construction movement joints, high
pressure power washing and the application of the new resin bonded aggregate surfacing.
Existing concrete surfaces hammer
tested for defects and repaired,
surface reduced using concrete floor
planers and scabbling machines,
Entire area high pressure washed
and dried.
Primer coat applied followed by the
Addastone resin, aggregate added
and allowed to cure.
