INTRODUCTION
The project included the excavation of the existing concrete base of the pool and complete renewal including all
the necessary steel reinforcement and formwork. Gritblasting to remove old coatings followed by structural
concrete repairs and application of specialist protective render and anti-carbonation coatings to the changing
rooms, stair tower, sides of pool, perimeter seating areas, shelters and sun deck. New roof coatings and slabbed
areas, new coloured concrete to the decks, redecoration, new handrails etc.
South West Concrete Repairs Ltd were sub-contracted to carry out the grit blasting, concrete repairs, specialist
cementitious coating finishes to the walls and application of anti-carbonation coatings.
